To apply, coaches must be at least 18 years old and complete the Coachazo application which is completed during account creation for a coaching account.

The process includes:
1. Creating an account
2. Tell us about your playing and coaching experience.

We do require applicants to demonstrate relevant playing, coaching, training, or other sports experience that supports their ability to provide individual instruction.
Additional credentials such as coaching certifications, CPR/First Aid training, references, collegiate experience, professional experience, or sport-specific qualifications are encouraged and can strengthen your profile.

After you are approved:
1. Complete Stripe payment setup and complete identity verification.
2. Complete the required background check.
3. Build your Coachazo profile.

During Coachazo's initial launch, Coachazo plans to cover required background-check costs. The platform may require coaches to cover their own background-check cost in the future.

Great private coaches can come from many backgrounds: experienced youth coaches, high school coaches, college athletes, former collegiate players, professional athletes, trainers, sport-specific instructors, and others with meaningful experience.

When reviewing an application, we look for evidence that the applicant:
1. Understands their sport
2. Has meaningful playing and/or coaching experience
3. Can work effectively one-on-one and communicate professionally with athletes and parents
4. Can provide age-appropriate instruction
5. Is dependable, responsive, and can create a safe training environment
6. Must successfully pass a background check and be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
7. Certifications and references are encouraged when relevant but are not automatically required.

The profile you create should clearly show your experiences, credentials, and explain why a family should choose you. Tell families which ages, positions, skill levels, and areas of development you work with best.
